I baked my first loaves of bread in 2013. My father in law was in hospice, Chris and I were newlyweds and I was newly pregnant with our first child. My husband's incredible Aunt Sue taught me to bake bread while we sat for hours with the man we all loved so much. Honey wheat was first and Aunt Sue's delicious french bread was next. She shared tips that a recipe card doesn't teach. The Kitehen Aid mixer that my Gramma Mabel had gifted me for my wedding was getting put to work almost daily. I was officially a bread baker as baking quickly became the sweetest therapy during the tender season of preparing to say see you later to my husband's dad. Eleven years later, baking is still my favorite way to process the hard and heavy parts of life. Now, I get to serve others and love them well by filling their stomachs with baked goods that have been prayed over and made with love. Agape Bakehouse is where my love for Jesus + baked goods collide. I cannot wait to bake for you and the ones you love the most!
