Hello! I’m Dana, the founder and baker behind Sweet Lucy’s Loaves & Provisions (SLL&P). My sourdough journey began in early 2025 with a well-established starter gifted to me and a simple curiosity in my home kitchen—a search for healthier, more nourishing bread for my family. Growing up with my amazing grandmother, Lucile, I developed a deep appreciation for slow, homemade food and the comfort it brings. I never considered myself a baker, but I quickly became absorbed in the craft and science of natural leavening. The transformation of flour, water, and salt into a living, breathing loaf reflects my belief that the best flavor and health benefits come from patience, care, and time-honored methods. At Sweet Lucy’s Loaves & Provisions, I offer more than sourdough. While rustic, long-fermented sourdough loaves are at the heart of SLL&P, I also bake thoughtfully crafted non-sourdough breads, including soft sandwich loaves and seasonal specialties, all made with fresh, simple ingredients and no shortcuts. In the spirit of traditional home kitchens, SLL&P also creates small-batch provisions—fresh-churned butter and homemade jams made from fresh, seasonal fruit. These simple accompaniments are designed to be enjoyed alongside a warm loaf, celebrating the beauty of real food made slowly and with intention. Thank you for supporting my small business.
