We are a mom and daughter duo who share a love for baking all things sourdough ♡ In 2021, both of us were diagnosed with gluten sensitivities. We went through a “grieving” period… “what do we eat? Can we not eat potatoes anymore?” lol - we weren’t thinking straight obviously. BUT this is what led us to our sourdough journey. We received a starter that dates back to the 1900’s. We started with basic sourdough loaves and quickly realized there was so much more we could do. And the best part was, we could eat it with no stomach issues! Now, this isn’t to say that everyone could do this… but we were so happy to realize that we could enjoy bread that didn’t crumble when we touched it (our gluten free people understand). Our journey towards starting Risen Dough Co started there and the good Lord helped with the rest. We cannot wait to share our goodies with you! Matthew 6:25-34 ♡
