Crumb Trail Baking

Baking has always been my therapy. For years, friends and family encouraged me to sell what I made. It was bread—specifically sourdough—that finally convinced me to say yes. I hope you enjoy eating it as much as I love baking it. Sourdough is a naturally leavened bread, meaning it doesn’t use commercial yeast to rise. Instead, it’s made with a starter—a simple mixture of flour and water that’s been fermented to cultivate wild yeast and beneficial bacteria. This natural process is what gives sourdough its distinct tangy flavor and slightly chewy texture. Wild yeast offers more complex flavor than commercial yeast, and because it’s free from additives, it’s a more natural choice.
