Born from a mother-daughter duo in 2011, our bakery was named by my mom, who once baked in the 80s before serving 32 years with the Detroit police department. I baked. She decorated. Together, we poured love into every layer. After losing her in 2014, I kept going — not just to honor her, but to carry on the comfort and joy we created in the kitchen. From classic treats to spiked indulgences sugar free and vegan delights, every dessert is crafted with heart, memory, and meaning. This is baking that speaks — and tastes — to the soul.

My name is Brittany. I am 30 years old with two companies, Jars of Perfection and Life of a Detroit Foodie. I am a caterer and baker providing a large array of food and desserts to the Metro Detroit area. I’m most known for my dessert in a jar which comes in cake flavors as well as different cheesecake flavors. I’ve been baking since I was 12 years old under my mom who also owned her own baking business. I learned the basics of the kitchen as well as entrepreneurship while working with my mom. I also coach kids and teens on how to bake and cook.
